Please remember in your prayers Mumsie (Chris) McDermott host of the Faith and Friendship Group at St Wulstan’s.  She was admitted to Wycombe General Hospital after recently suffering a stroke (now transferred to Amersham)

Mumsie McDermott

Mumsie is in good spirits but is thought to have suffered a second stroke in hospital resulting in loss of movement and feeling in her right arm and leg.  Fr Innocent and Fr Willie are calling in to see her and Sioban (her daughter) is flying over regularly from Switzerland at the weekends.

Mumsie wants to thank all her friends at Church for their best wishes and she continues to appreciate all our prayers for grace in a testing time.

For details regarding visiting Mumsie at Amersham Hospital, please contact Martin McDermott on 01494 525035 or contact Francis and Dominic via the Contact Us page on this site.

Updated Wednesday 20th April

Mumsie has now been transferred to the Heberden Ward in Amersham hospital to benefit from their specialist physiotherapy.  She is starting to write with her right hand again and is practicing by colouring in cartoon pictures with crayons.  The physio has given her supporting strap for her right knee which has greatly improved her mobility.  Mumsie says that she is now confident thet she will be able to walk again now and is celebrating by buying new shoes and slippers!
