Our Faith and Friendship groups came together to put on a BBQ on behalf of the Strategy Group of Blessed John Henry Newman Parish.

Parishioners from St James the Great in Downley, St Edmund Campion in Hazlemere, St Wulstan’s in Totteridge and Our Lady of Grace in Booker shared a Forum run by the Strategy Group to update them on our progress towards forming a ‘Thriving Catholic Community’ supported by one Parish Priest.

The Faith and Friendship Hospitality Tent in service

We were very pleased to put the Faith and Friendship Hospitality Tent to good use. This marquee was purchased as a community tent for our Faith and Friendship annual camp in August when we gather as the Ark Renewal Community for a week of faith & fun in Yorkshire. See the Summer Camp.

We are already planning for our next BBQ at the May Fayre when the Hospitality Tent will be used to served refreshments. By then we hope to have invested in an additional 6m x 6m marquee as an add-on kitchen section.

Parish activities displayed

The wealth of existing Parish activities and charities was displayed around the hall whilst representatives of the various groups were pleased to chat with their fellow Parishioners about their organisations.
