Welcome:    Introductions, refreshments & sharing.   

At the beginning of each meeting we renew our friendship through chatting and sharing informally.  Ice-breakers and discussion topics may be used as required.  The object of this time is to create an atmosphere of trust and intimacy. 

Worship:      Music, prayer, psalms focusing on Jesus. 

Our worship time may take a wide variety of formats depending on the needs of the particular group.  We may read and discuss a psalm together or make up our own psalm to the Lord.  Sometimes we may sing together or listen to quiet worship music whilst we contemplate and pray. 

Word:          The practical applications of the Gospel. 

We read through the Sunday readings from the Old & New Testament, focusing on the Gospel.  We share together how the readings impact and inspire us and seek the help of the Holy Spirit to understand the practical implications of the readings for our lives today.  We aim to be challenged and changed by the Gospel message rather than merely studying it. 

Witness:       Responding to the Lord & ministering to each other. 

Our witness is our opportunity to share the Kingdom work of our Lord, learning to serve our brothers and sisters, ministering boldly yet docilely in the power of the Holy Spirit and coming to terms with our daily death to self.  Together we support, encourage and minister to each other, looking for practical opportunities to grow in faithfulness and learn to share our daily successes and failures as we grow in confidence and friendship.
