Our Summer Camp, Pateley Bridge

We enjoyed another blessed and very enjoyable week at our 2011 summer camp at Bewerley Park, Pateley Bridge, Yorkshire.

Meeting as the Arc Renewal Community (ARC), we get together every August for a week of camping (or accommodation), to celebrate and develop our faith and friendship in a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere.

Family-friendly and welcoming each individual, we come together for daily Mass, lively praise & worship, gifted and entertaining guest speakers, with youth groups and children’s games (often involving sweets & doughnuts!).

We have a large and active Youth Group who meet together for their own sharing and prayer, as well as entertaining the camp with an inspiring panoply of talents.

Throughout the week, we enjoy BBQ’s and shared meals, cheese & wine evenings, quizzes, beer & bonfire folk-singing etc.

This year, we were pleased to welcome Katie, the 4 week old daughter of Ruth and Michael from Mike & Sharon’s Faith and Friendship Group…
